
Meet our staff
Mrs Lewis

Mrs Lewis is our current Acting Headteacher and plays a key role in school life. She also teaches in our Year 1 and 2 class every Thursday and Friday, supporting our pupils both in leadership and in the classroom. In addition, Mrs Lewis is our ALNCo (Additional Learning Needs Coordinator) and our Safeguarding Lead, ensuring that all children are supported, safe, and able to thrive. She also leads our Mathematics and Numeracy Area of Learning and Experience (AoLE), as well as our Science and Technology AoLE, helping to inspire curiosity, problem-solving, and a love of learning across the school. Mrs Lewis also runs our Digi Wizards, encouraging pupils to develop their digital skills and confidence in using technology creatively and safely.

Mrs Perks
Mrs Perks is a valued member of our Senior Leadership Team and plays an important role in supporting the wellbeing and learning of our pupils. She teaches our Year 3 and 4 class every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, creating a positive and engaging learning environment for all. Mrs Perks is also our Wellbeing Warriors Lead, helping to promote positive mental health, kindness, and emotional wellbeing across the school. In addition, she leads our Languages, Literacy and Communication (LLC) Area of Learning and Experience (AoLE) as well as our Health and Wellbeing AoLE, supporting pupils to grow in confidence, communication, and resilience.

Mrs Castell
Mrs Castell is our Reception and Year 1 class teacher and plays an important role in helping our youngest learners begin their school journey with confidence, care, and enthusiasm. She is our Educational Visits Coordinator (EVC), helping to plan and organise enriching learning experiences beyond the classroom. Mrs Castell is also our Deputy Safeguarding Lead, supporting the wellbeing and safety of all pupils. In addition, she leads our Humanities Area of Learning and Experience (AoLE) and our Expressive Arts AoLE, encouraging creativity, curiosity, and a deeper understanding of the world around us. She also runs our School Council, giving pupils a voice and helping them to play an active role in school life.

Mrs Worthington
Mrs Worthington is our Year 5 and 6 class teacher, working with pupils Monday to Thursday to support them as they develop independence, confidence, and a love of learning in their final years of primary school. She also leads Criw Cymraeg, encouraging the use and celebration of the Welsh language across the school and helping pupils to take pride in their Welsh identity. In addition, Mrs Worthington leads the Humanities Area of Learning and Experience (AoLE) as well as the Welsh Language strand of the Languages, Literacy and Communication (LLC) AoLE, supporting pupils to develop their understanding of history, geography, and culture alongside their Welsh language skills.

Miss Davies
Miss Davies is a class teacher who works across the school, teaching in Year 1 and 2 on Mondays and Wednesdays, in Year 3 and 4 on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, and in Year 5 and 6 on Fridays, supporting pupils at different stages of their learning journey. She is also our Mathematics and Numeracy, and Science and Technology Area of Learning and Experience (AoLE) Lead, helping to deliver engaging and inspiring learning in these areas. In addition, Miss Davies runs our School Council, giving pupils a voice in school life, and leads sport across the school, promoting teamwork, fitness, and enjoyment of physical activity.

Mrs Watts
Mrs Watts is a Teaching Assistant in our Year 1 and 2 class, where she provides valuable support to pupils in their learning and daily classroom life. She is ELSA trained (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) and runs sessions across the school, helping children to understand and manage their emotions in a safe and supportive way. Mrs Watts also supports the Expressive Arts Area of Learning and Experience (AoLE), encouraging creativity, imagination, and confidence through a range of artistic experiences.

Mrs Mootz
Mrs Mootz is a Teaching Assistant in our Reception and Year 1 class, where she supports our youngest learners as they begin their school journey, helping them to settle, grow in confidence, and develop key early skills. She is ELSA trained (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) and runs sessions across the school, supporting children with their emotional wellbeing in a caring and nurturing way.



Mrs Hassanyeh
Mrs Hassanyeh is a Teaching Assistant who works in school from Tuesday to Thursday, supporting pupils in their learning and helping to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment. She works closely with staff and pupils to provide guidance, encouragement, and support across the school day.
Debbie
Debbie plays an important role in supporting our school community throughout the day. She helps run Breakfast Club and After School Club, providing a welcoming and caring environment for pupils before and after school. Debbie also supports with lunchtime duty, helping to ensure pupils are safe, happy, and well cared for during break times. In addition, she listens to children read, helping to build their confidence, fluency, and enjoyment of books.
Heather
Heather is a valued member of our school team who supports both Breakfast Club and After School Club, helping to provide a warm, welcoming, and well-organised environment for pupils at the start and end of the school day. She is also our school chef, preparing nutritious and tasty meals each day to ensure our pupils are well-fuelled for learning and play.
Sarah
Sarah is an important member of our school team who supports pupils during lunchtimes, helping to ensure break times are safe, happy, and well organised. She is also our school cleaner, keeping our learning environment clean, tidy, and welcoming for everyone each day.

Ffion
Ffion supports pupils during lunchtime, helping to ensure break times are safe, enjoyable, and well organised. She also works in After School Club, providing a friendly and caring environment for children at the end of the school day.
Kerry
Kerry is a valued member of our school team who works in the kitchen, where she helps to prepare and serve meals to our pupils each day. She plays an important role in ensuring that children receive nutritious and well-presented food in a calm and organised setting.
