Phonics 

At Berriew, we have developed a whole-school phonics programme that supports children from learning initial sounds through to segmenting and blending words as they progress and grow. As a school, we use consistent sound patterns, mats and rhymes that have been specifically developed for Berriew learners. This ensures a clear and consistent approach to phonics across the whole school.
